Abstract

In this article, the analysis of public policies made in terms of combating violence against women will be examined processally. We will try to examine how violence against women becomes a public issue, becomes subject to public policies, and the transformations these publics policies undergo. The literature on the subject focuses predominantly on the forms, reasons, and outcomes of violence against women. There is a dearth in the scholarship on works deeply analyzing the are processes of public policies. This study aims to contribute to the literature with a holistic approach. For this purpose, it will propose a public policy process analysis to examine which dimensions of violence, under what conditions, and by what methods that the policy-making actors react in order to combat violence against women.
