Crises, Disasters and Children in Turkey

In this article, it has been explored how children in Turkey have been impacted by recent crises and disasters. The rights and well-being of children have been emphasized throughout this evaluation. Following the earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş-Hatay on March 6, 2023, a picture of the issues faced by children was captured, along with a list of the rights breaches they had suffered and recommendations for how to handle similar circumstances in the future. It has been investigated how the actions done during the Covid-19 outbreak, a recent major crisis, influenced the lives of children and the actions to be taken in epidemics of a similar nature. Last but not least, the challenges that low-income families’ children experience in exercising their fundamental rights and the growing poverty brought on by the economic.
