Shorts, YouTube's short-form video format launched to compete with rivals like TikTok and Instagram, is an important format for journalistic practice. This study focuses on news in the Shorts format from BBC News Turkish, Deutsche Welle Turkish, VOA Turkish, +90, Independent Turkish, and Euronews Turkish. The study aims to analyze news trends by outlining the transformation of news production in this format. For this purpose, 10 of the most viewed Shorts from each news organization, totaling 60, were selected for a purposive sampling group. The news was analyzed using Braun and Clarke's reflexive thematic analysis method. The study’s findings are detailed under the main themes of algorithmic speed, narrative regime, and journalistic standards. The study aims to make an original contribution to the literature by addressing the relationship between the speed regime of journalism at different levels. As a result of the study, news that establish epistemology and a news paradigm in various contexts were found.Downloads
